BBC 4 Sunday: A look at the ethical and religious issues

On BBC Radio this morning - a moving interview with the author of the foreword to our new report Krzysztof Charamsa who speaks about his work at the CDF and how he could no longer, in conscience, enforce teaching he knew to be wrong:
"The principal problem was our current policy against some categories of people, like women, sexual minorities, transgender and divorced people and the confrontation with their Christian and human rights"

We hear from

who was involved in the report. The former theology professor was once an official of the Vatican's powerful theological watchdog, the Congregation for the Doctrine of the Faith. He has since come out as gay.

"The essential truth of bible is that sexuality serves first of all love, not procreation. The sin of [Catholicism] is a reduction of sexuality to procreation."
